November kicks off the holiday season with Holiday Open House Weekend November 15-16 with lots of specials and early bird specials. Thinking about unique celebrations, why not gather friends to attend SixtyFour – Wine Bar & Kitchen’s Penner Ash Wine Dinner? Or attend their Thursday free wine tastings to choose some great vintages for your entertaining. The wine bar will also hold a three wine tasting meal with three courses on December 14th. Thanksgiving week means the lighting of NaperLights, Naperville Sunrise Rotary’s gift to the community. Visit us through New Years to meet Santa on his gorgeous ruby throne, take pictures under the colorful lighted arch on Foyo Plaza or with the Giant Bear in Jaycees Park. While you’re there, peek into all our windows to find Holiday Bears hidden throughout Downtown.
Not cooking this Thanksgiving? Grab some Sparrow Coffee from 6am til 1pm before you head off to the feast. Join Vasilis Mediterranean to enjoy herb roasted turkey with traditional and Greek sides and harvest salad or opt for Moussaka instead. Friday November 28 ushers in the Holiday Parade of Lights beginning at 7 pm in Downtown. The following day is Small Business Saturday, a chance to show our independent merchants some local love as they share great discounts and specials. Plan ahead and make your reservations for the December 3rd Wine Walk and December 7th Cookie Walk both organized by Downtown Naperville. The Water Street Free Family Holiday Stroll follows the Cookie Walk on December 7 from 4-7 pm. Join us for Santa, Balloon Twister, Glitter Tattoo Artist, Strolling Holiday Trivia and a cheery elf on stilts handing out magic holographic viewing glasses to enjoy the gorgeous NaperLights Display.
