Water Street is about to put on ALL the Holiday Glitz and Glamour! Thanks to Naperville Sunrise Rotary and many generous community sponsors, NaperLights is returning to Water Street with lots of new features to dazzle young and old alike.
Just added are a giant Christmas Bear to stage your family photos around, as well as new year-round multi-colored light strands over Water Street and new projections on the sidewalks. Families wanting to chat with Santa by the Great Tree on Friday and Saturday evenings beginning December 2nd will get a magic sneak peek at Santa’s Workshop through a special new projection display beamed straight from the North Pole into the windows of the Naperville Municipal Building overlooking Jaycees Park. The light show begins on November 7 and kicks into high gear by Thanksgiving week. Don’t miss it on your way to dinner or holiday shopping!
Looking for a little RELAXATION as the holidays begin? London Skye is hosting two unique opportunities to enjoy a sound bath meditation session featuring the soothing hum of crystal bowls. Time to give back! On Saturday, November 5th we will host a Harvest and Holiday Food Drive for West Suburban Community Pantry. Most needed are shelf-stable holiday foods like boxed potato or stuffing mix, canned cranberries and cranberry sauce, canned soups and vegetables, canned pie fillings, and new unwrapped toys and books from age 0-12. Diapers and baby wipes are always welcome. WSCP serves over 750 households every week and the number continues to grow as food costs skyrocket. Won’t you help warm up a local family’s holiday this year? Drive up and drop your donations on Water Street Plaza from 9 ‘til noon.
The holidays proceed in earnest with the Downtown Holiday Parade of Lights on Friday, November 25. From the 25th through the 27thcelebrate Hometown Holidays with special offers throughout downtown stores and restaurants. The weekend also includes Small Business Saturday on the 26th. Look for plaid bows on the doors of downtown small businesses, including our London Skye and Trails & Tides and support small business in our community!
