Fall Vibes are on their Way on Water Street

The wardrobes in our stores are changing, the menus in each marvelous restaurant shifting, the planters going a bit duskier as September begins on Water Street.  As Summer fades into Fall, we’re celebrating another great season for sno problems, the extra special shaved ice stand on the corner of Aurora Avenue and Webster Streets.  And we’re thrilled to be celebrating the opening of Naperville’s very own Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop, featuring cups, cones, sundaes, shakes and cakes with flavors you cannot get at the supermarket.  Stop in for a treat and welcome Tom and Chrissy O’Toole to Water Street.  And bring your pup for doggie desserts!

We’ve just completed another successful Long Table Charity Dinner, to benefit West Suburban Community Pantry. And while the weather prevented our dining on the street as is tradition, a good time was had by all, with five amazing courses prepared  by Blue Sushi Sake Grill, Vasilis’s Mediterranean, SixtyFour – Wine Bar & Kitchen, Elements at Water Street and Ben & Jerry’sall with wonderful wine pairings.  If you missed this unique dining experience, watch for it next year. We’re proud to support local charities helping our neighbors in need.

Water Street has plenty to be proud of!  Time Out Chicago has named Santo Cielo, Sparrow Coffee and Quiubo as the top three restaurants in Naperville.  And Naperville magazine readers have honored Water Street in a big way, with Solaia Luxury Salon and Spa taking top honors for Full-Service Spa and Massage while placing as a finalist in Hair. Finalist in Men’s Stores is Trail’s & Tides, and Naperville Jewelers has placed as a finalist in Jewelry.  Santo Cielo is a finalist for Romantic Dining as well as Cocktail Bar and Blue Sushi placed as a finalist in Japanese/Sushi.

Vasili’s took top honors for Mediterranean cuisine, while Quiubo is among the finalists in Mexican cuisine.  Sparrow is named best Coffee Shop and Hotel Indigo is among the finalists for Best Hotel.  And kudos go to David Miller of Elements at Water Street, whose Chef By Request was voted a finalist in Catering.  SixtyFour – Wine Bar & Kitchen is proud to be hosting the awards reception late this month.  Clearly Water Street is home to Naperville’s favorite places to stay, spa, shop and dine!

Keep an eye out for some changing in hours among our restaurants as Fall settles in. And watch for OktoberFest to return to the tent at SixtyFour – Wine Bar & Kitchen and Halloween festivities for the kiddos coming soon!  We look forward to seeing you on Water Street!
